I liked all 3, and then 4, action replay ruined gen 5 for me.
Upon replaying gen 5, I really liked how they utilized the gym leaders in Black and White, I thought it was pretty cool, B2W2 was less cool, but the post game features were probably great.
Too bad I skipped it till it was too late.
I remember being underwhelmed by gen 6 and waiting for Z, which never happened.
The. I was underwhelmed by gen 7, but expected things would get better.
Then Gen 8, it's their first console game, I'm sure the next game will be better.
