>>54272853>why force it into old games as wellI could get into the weeds about why I think mega evolution is more than a gimmick and should have had been expanded on, but I don’t see why I would bother when your argument is essentially that you’d rather play the same game twice. To which I say, just play the old games again, anon. I’ll also reiterate that I think remakes are a waste of dev time, but if they insist on making these games, I think there needs to be serious thought and work put into making them worth revisiting (as opposed to playing the original versions). BDSP doesn’t do that.
>>54272872>3v3 is an awful formatI agree, though I understand it’s done to make these facilities less of a grind (in theory). Any amount of RNG has the potential of ruining a streak early in 3v3, and in BDSP, you have ample opportunities for that to happen (ohko spam, bright power, evasion spam, etc) on top of generally strong opponents. You are asking to get fucked if you don’t look up each opponent before battling in BDSP’s singles Tower. Maison and Tree were challenging, yet still fun to play blind.
You’re correct in that doubles allows for more freedom (and fun) in team building for these facilities. I tend to do singles solely because I know my sets will be useful for most single player content.
