It used to, when it was on the boards, that's supposedly one of the reasons they took it off the board, so the could "work faster".

By god this will never actually be done, they could have given a progress chart detailing on an approximation through percentage of each facet of the game (dialogue, sprites, animations, events, etc...) But instead we get 3 new moves of what used to be about a thousand, and they think this is progress?

To be fair, I believe one of the original goals with the game was to make everything 100% original, which is why they've gone through all sprites multiple times to make sure to contain no borrowed elements from official sprites.
But I rather they work on content instead of what is essentially just polish, pic related is I think the last thing that isn't just a visual update that they posted.

Looks shit. Quarantine Crystal has the best Dex out of all /vp/ romhacks. Clover is unique but there are lots of ugly designs there

FWIW I also agree that making brand new animations for every move is wasteful, I advocated for making a smaller set (like, 1 low damage non contact fire move animation, 1 mid damage one, 1 high damage one, one for ones that do make contact, and so on) or asking permission from other projects but that's not how it panned out
