This thing is stupid, but this art reminds me of the kind of thing we'd get back when Pokémon was a Japanese product foremost and sent out to foreign markets second. Back when us foreigners would see what crazy wonky designs ol' Japanese Gamefreak had just pumped out in their latest generational release like in gens 3, 4, and even 5. Does anyone else feel what I'm saying here? Pokémon used to have a soulful intrigue like this stupid banana bird just almost encapsulates. I just see it in the face or something. Now we have Turner designs and god knows what else that largely has the foreign market and competition with other series in mind.
