It's why it adapts a game they know but then add in new XY stuff from it, including an all new Charizard form that was literally announced through this special (something I think a lot of people forgot. There was a LOT of "wtf what's that, that's not Mega Charizard" reactions when that scene happened, check the livestream thread. Megazard X had not been leaked at the time)
