Except cross-gen evos make sense by being directly related to previous evos, while you seem to be forgetting regional flavouring IS a thing (cf every early-route rodent-like shitmon that crops up. Every fucking Gen).

There is literally nothing connecting Luvdisc to Alomomola other than being pink fish.
