Personally I really enjoyed them and emerald is my favorite game. I can understand people being upset about no battle frontier though.

For as many quality of life features were added, many Emerald features were removed.

Dexnav was the best thing the series added in the last 10 years. Of course we never saw it again. It was counteracted by the lack of battle frontier.

The fact people have to ask this is kinda indicative. FRLG and HGSS are always getting wanked (and rightly so, they're great), this game usually only comes up to dunk on BDSP.

Cheating NPCs and the low BP payout was the only bad thing about the Battle Frontier. It's fun as fuck aside from that.
