Blastoise was always an ugly fat fuck compared to Charizared (plus the fact it's a flying, fire-breathing dragonalike and inherently cooler than a turtle, without even needing to factor in the derpy cannons, retarded expression and fatbastard bodyshape to the equation). Feraligatr only got gud when the Physical/'Special split happened (Gen 2 was still VERY much a "click Gyarados to win" scenario compared to it).
And that's ALSO ignoring the evolution of the series' artstyles from Blastoise/Feraligatr's conception, to the 2010's when they sat down to migrate Pokémon to a more modern ecosystem (which as always was done with the expectation the series was going to focus and target children - who wouldn't have experienced ANY media displaying the artystyle Gen 1/2 took inspiration from). Sorry you ignored reality, but that's why you really need to get out your little bubble.
