Ashtards are still crying over the loss of their pathetic character. I understand the affection they have for him, 25 years watching a commercial to promote games isn't easily forgotten, but objectively Ash is anything but a real character, he is an advertising tool: he travels to another region, captures Pokémon from that region, changes his clothes to be similar to the male protagonist of the day (Lucas, Hilbert, Calem and Elio), he is joined by the waifu of the day to attract a male audience, another generation of games begins and the same cycle is repeated. And not only that, he has been rebooted, his personality has been changed as if he were a condom. He as a character has less consistency than a jelly. 90% of the time he gets all the screen time when almost all of his companions are more interesting, defined and charismatic than he is. For over a decade now Ash has been flanderized to the point where he has lost his grace and sense of self as a character, he has no real chemistry with the characters (except for Misty and Clauncher's episode where he finally showed some personality), he is very generic. He's just a shell of his former self, he's just an insert character for the audience, it's for that reason that the images of Ash fucking pokegirls have increased because the audience uses him as an insert medium to live out their fantasies.
Meanwhile Ash's fans are campaigning against the new Pokémon anime.
