Nu-ExpShare is objectively a good addition to the games, grinding on older games was a boring chore and now I can focus my limited playtime on actually getting things done instead of killing the same braindead AI Pokemon 50 times

3D doesn't drastically affect the gameplay of Pokemon games, the only noticeable change from that is that it's not a fixed camera anymore. It's a change in presentation, nothing more.

ORAS was a good remake and the lack of Battle Frontier, which sucks still doesn't take that away.
Also giving you Lati@s is not "overpowered," it's one more pokemon you have the option to use before post-game, in a gen that already gave you the most legendaries you can get before post-game aside from SWSH DLC

Probably even more unpopular but in the same vein, making the forced exp share mandatory was a brilliant idea. Since all mons get exp automatically, kids are incentivized to use more pokemon. This leads to more attachment and more merch sales. If they kept the option to disable it a good chunk might do it to make the game harder, and they would only get attached to maybe their starter and a legendary.

There is more to ORAS sucking ass than the Frontier though. Entire dungeons like New Mauville were simplified. Contests are basically a minigame in themselves when they used to have a minigame as part of them (berry blending).
