I agree it's a joke. But probably not for the reasons everyone else things.
>no singles format
>bans are not strict enough
>no cool commentary
>no banlist or adjustments when the same handful of pokemon are used every single gen
>the whole team isn't even used in battles
>no spectacle. Seen local smash tournaments with more effort put into them

It's kinda weird that even though Pokémon is a huge part of Nintendos legacy and came out in 1996 that James has never done an episode or even brought it up during the gameboy episode. I get he was 16 at the time but he was still technically in his childhood at the height of pokemania.
