Blocked most of his sermon/rant out but one thing I remember is when he said collecting the badges gives you unholy powers. (Not in-game, but you in real life). Tried to tell them this old fart didn't know what he was talking about and that pokemon was fine, but that ship had sailed. For the rest of my childhood pokemon was this evil, demonic thing and God wasn't happy about me supporting it.
