Why are there so many dark fighting and ghost types in this generation? Why is it always these 3 types that get favored the most?

because those are among the best types in the game, and Game Freak valued Gen 9 enough to ensure that most Gen 9 pokemon were worth a damn instead of being useless shitmons that only exist to prop up KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
