Pokemon Legends Arceus gave us
>7 brand-new Pokemon (6 evos, 1 stand-alone new Legendary)
>19 new forms for existing Pokemon (16 regional forms, 3 non-regional)
If they were to repeat those numbers in a new Legends game, what Pokemon would you like to see?
It can be Legends Johto, Unova, wherever. Just note they probably won't touch Pokemon original to that region.

Something worth noting too is that every type got something new. So the next game would probably do the same.
And now that "rFakes" are a thing, those could take place of some of the brand-new Pokemon slots or regional form slots.

I don't know if a Legends game without Alpha Pokemon would be good. The primal fear when I realized I'd walked into an Alpha's territory was half the reason I loved PLA. I wholeheartedly support a new PL game, but they'd need to come up with a bunch of new ideas.

Snivy, Torchic, Piplup are the starters
First game with no Kanto or Johto Pokemon getting new forms or evos
Most are Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokemon since they got passed up in PLA

Gen 4 Pokemon were passed up on as far as new regional forms or evolutions.
Only two that got any were Dialga's and Palkia's Origin forms, which were obviously special cases.
New Legends game would allow normal Gen 4 Pokemon to get regional forms, new evos, etc.

I wouldn't say that. If I'm not mistaken, PLA was much more well received compared to LGPE.

That and I'm not sure they'd opt for two Gen 5 starters in a row. I just think they'd opt for more generational variety.
So to theoretically narrow things down:
>No Gen 2 starters because its in Johto
>No Gen 5 or Gen 7 starters, since they were in PLA
>No Gen 9 starters because they're the most recent.
That leaves Gens 1, 3, 4, 6, and 8, but we can narrow it down further
>No Gen 1 starters since Kanto and Johto are so close
Which leaves Gens 3, 4, 6, and 8

The Ecruteak fire takes place generally around the same time as Legends Arceus (~150 years before GSC which canonically take place in 1999, the time period Legends Arceus is based on is around the 1800's), so I feel like a Legends Ho-Oh game running parallel to Legends Arceus would perfectly match D/P running parellel to GSC/HGSS.

That's 19. You could add "era variants" for other generations, with the idea being that these are *really* Pokemon that traveled from other eras (not imaginary Pokemon). In the past era, humans don't yet exist. In the future era, humanity has been wiped out and Pokemon have to readjust. There is no robot shenanigans... If anything, future Pokemon have to fight the robots left by humans. Global warming (already acknowledged in SwSh) and pollution characterize this era.

If the PLA template isn't sacred (it shouldn't be), I'd like a revival of some of the Spaceworld Pokemon. I already sneaked two lost evolutions into my list, although I had to make Gorochu a future form for obvious reasons. If I could pick six more, it would be the Kotora, Norowara and Urufuman lines.

The only reason why Hisuian Basculin can breed without Everstone is due to the awkwardness of Unovan Basculin already having 2 forms and Game Freak not being assed to determine whuch of these Stripes will hatch
