>>54352356this is true, 5 tried to soft reboot everything and I believe it wasnt certain where they were going to go after, sort of like how gens 2 and 4 were both intended to be "the end" at one point or another.
>>54352386incorrect.
>>54352404that's autism and personal preference. Gen 6 is fine.
>>54352846while I am aware that there are subversive forces from discord that doesnt mean every post you dont like is one of them. Gen 5 was objectively a reboot attempt and the beginning of any kind of "decline" in quality following it. gen 5 wasnt bad, like I said here
>>54352825 I dont think there's ever really been a "terrible" pokemon game, even gen 9 has a fun core gameplay because at its core pokemon is a fun game. But there's never been an accumulation of all the good ideas, many of them are left out and forgotten.
If we could get a game with: all pokemon, forms, megas, z moves, dynamaxing and terastilizing (dont like these two as much but for the sake of consistency throw them in), all items, all moves, QoL changes to multiplayer features, some of the higher-tier (or better) writing/plot for the single player like gens 5, 7, hell, even 9, some of the features of PLA like quick catching, pokemon attacking the player, relearning/forgetting moves whenever, quicker breeding, changing natures, etc etc etc - we'd have a damn fine game even if the graphics were less than the best for the current year. But this isn't likely at this point because either GF, TPIC, or both, are lazy AND greedy. I'm tired of these pointless threads popping up over and over again because the "SOTU" in regard to Pokemon is incredibly obvious.
