>Top 6: HGSS
The only good mainline Pokémon game in comparison to the videogame industry's standards. Tons of exploration, beloved features and hidden Pokémon. It is GameFreak's magnum opus — so much that the director was never invited again to direct anything.
>Top 5: Snap 2
The best Switch Pokémon game, the most beautiful looking PKMN game ever made and one that nails every aspect that it proposes to be. It is a fantastic rail-shooter in itself and an altogether improvement from Snap 1. How many Pokémon titles are actual improvements on their prequels? This one hits it out of the park.
>Top 4: Pokémon Colosseum
Beautiful animations, side-content, soundtrack and actual love put into the game. They flew too close to the Sun in many departments (double battles), but at least they tried their best with GameFreak's battle engine.
>Top 3: Pokémon XD
An improvement on the former on every gameplay aspect except the plot.
>Top 2: Pokémon Stadium 1
(See below). It is so good it is almost a hors concours.
>Top 1: Pokémon Stadium 2
Deluge of content (puzzles, cups, 1000+ rentals, gym challenge, handheld compatibility, minigame contests...), tons of ambition. It is the greatest Pokémon game ever made and the most ambitious. Makes you think what would have happened if HAL had taken over Pokémon rather than GameFreak.
