At last Mawile got something. There are pokemon that have been around longer then it have never been allowed to be anything other than fodder to make GenWun’s shillmons look better.

Megas were neat but I will admit there definitely was a shillmon aspect to it. In a perfect timeline megas like Mawile would've been balanced better and just made into an evolution (so no gengar evolution for example). I hate all this stupid gimmick shit in the newer Pokemon games. Haven't played in eons but I keep seeing shit like a sidegrade MIsdreavus and it looks stupid as fuck.

Gigas/Dmax were garbage. They were somehow even more unbalanced the Mega's were, and even more overcentralizing because the only giga worth using was CHARIZARD.

I at least like terastallize this gen since you can pull of some strats like tera steel hydreigon to surprise fairies or tera normal dragonite for extremespeed stab. Think it's more interesting than dynamax or z-moves, but yeah, it'll just be forgotten next gen for whatever the next gimmick is just like the rest.

With a lore for hoenn so completely revolutionized and centered on megas they had to mention the kalos lore and that is a different dimension than the original hoenn.

I wish Gamefreak would stop pussyfooting around megas and just put them in the games. Or give mons like Mawile and Altaria actual evos at least, rather than garbage like the toilet dragon. Kinda insane how Mawile is seemingly capped as a perma 380 BST unevolving shitmon because of Gamefreak’s gimmick addiction.

Honestly, I'm just glad that people talk about Mawile at all. Seems like a bunch of people jumped on the Tinkaton bandwagon. They like to cope and say that it's a really good Pokemon, but we all know damn well that most of them are just in it for the 100% female ratio.

The forms themselves are mostly great, it's just the actual gimmick itself that comes up short. Maybe they'd be better if they were just treated as alt-forms that you need to use of hold one specific item to activate, like Dialga and Palkia in PLA or Giratina in Platinum.
