No they aren't. Le cursed pokemon that are super powerful that can only be used by the power of friendship. I don't use unique pokemon, makes the game feel cheap and takes me out of the game. Doesn't even make sense lore-wise. You can hate Gen 1 all you want, but it's the only gen that got it right.
