>>54383025September is the last of the summer heat, the chill of fall steadily growing each night as the year starts to wane. Hot, sunny days sporadically appear with decreasing frequency and the leaves start to turn red and gold, causing a small boom of tourists who want to see the shrine and mountain range surrounded with brilliant color.
Shorter days means locals spend their free time starting to bring in their earliest harvest, including clan fields and orchards. He's certainly too respected by most to be forced to help in the fields, but he doesn't mind spending an hour or two for fun, especially knowing it's that much less some elderly person might need to do. Fresh food abounds, and I'm sure they have more than a few celebrations coming up to prepare for.
He's glad for the reprieve in weather, but it gets steadily harder to get the dragons up and out for training as fall turns to winter, dew becoming morning frost. No mercy, he forces them to train semi-regularly in the cold with the belief it helps to somewhat mitigate the sting of Ice-type moves. But they spend more time overall training in the Den, where the natural hot springs deep within keep the air temperate, albeit damp, at the coldest points in the year.
