clamperl at least has the dubiously-useful but still funny deepseatooth gimmick at its disposal, which makes it retardedly strong.
the evos are both just mediocre water types with absolutely nothing going for them.
the one and only time i used the clamperl line ingame i just used deepseatooth clamperl rather than evolving it.
