That actually make sense, in the past Clowns/Jesters/Mimes were thought of as a type of Fairy or had the ability to use Fairy Magic especially with them being known to be Tricksters

It' referencing the Cù-Sìth which literally translates into Fairy Dog in Scottish and that's why Granbull is a Fairy, don't be surprised when a Pokémon based on the Cait-Sith(Fairy Cat aka Puss in Boots) pops up in a Generation.

It feels like a buff, but it would also mean it would have two weaknesses instead of one, and those weaknesses are still predominantly physical types.
