the base game ends in a cliffhanger that is gonna culminate in the second dlc, but there's a lot of dlc bait even in base game that was padded out for at least 9 months since release
About the characters this is the first pokemon generation that I simply don't care about the main cast or the main story, I don't care what happens to Arven the fujobait character or his parents, Pennis another uglyfuck that caters to the L-abecedary people, Nemona or how Kieran is going to become the champion because the female director never tried to make them appealing outside of their target group
