What would a past version look like, cowboys? The industrial revolution? Neither seem as interesting as feudal Japan was to SInnoh. Maybe industrial steampunk would be cool but it would have to have importance to the story for me.

Mightyena evolution.
Carmine having Poochyena made me a bit optimistic, but Khu's blood moon riddle baited me hard.
Now I want a Mightyena evolution more than anything lol.
Unova, Johto, wherever I don't care. Just give my buddy a new evolution.
Poochyena and Mightyena aren't in either region, but many 'mons that got cross-gen evos in PLA weren't in Sinnoh, so I'm hoping they have a decent chance. Especially considering literally ZERO Gen 3 Pokemon got anything special in PLA.
So maybe in the next Legends game, Gens 3 and 4 will get the spotlight.

At the start it seems the game is actually set in the past, since society is pretty primitive and the region is a vast wilderness
But as you progress through the game you discover that the story is actually set in the future, after a disaster nearly wiped out all humans on the region
The people you thought were the ancestors of present-day characters are actually their descendants

If they decide to remake Gen 5, I hope they also have the courtesy to remake B2W2 because DESU I personally think that base B1W1 is pretty lackluster while B2W2 is fucking amazing

Set it in colonial times, have 3 main groups:
> Unovan kingdom - led by the brothers mentioned in BW/2's lore, splits during the game, before theplayer has a chance to see the Original dragon
> immigrant trainers - could be from anywhere, probably Kanto though because Gamefreak

The plot could be very similar to LA's. Player arrives, learns about the aggressive pokemon, meets the 2 brothers a few times, fights the sword trio as main bosses, one of Zekrom/Reshiram late game after the split, and then meets Keldeo in the end.
