Why the heck a pokemon need badges to obey a trainer? I know that it's a game design thing, but it still sounds stupid af.
Ash had to earn Charizard's respect, regardless of how many badges he had. Also, what if you are not a trainer? What if you are some normal dude and your pokemon ends up evolving? It won't obey you because you didn't beat X amount of gym leaders?
