for example, he would occasionally have trouble with cashiers and he would not say anything about someone with him to intervene. if he had been shopping with this person, i think he would've mentioned leaf there.
if you let him tell any story he wanted, leaf would come up nonstop, but if you nudged the conversation in another way, leaf would not come up. i promise you, the man lived alone at least from 2021-2022.
