I learned that with the cloning glitch, the boxes are saved first, then the party, so when you deposit a Pokemon, that Pokemon is "saved" while your game state is "loaded". This means you can effectively use infinite rare candies by saving, using the ones you have on a Pokemon, depositing that Pokemon, performing the glitch, then releasing the old version you have in your party and withdrawing the Pokemon you deposited, which you can then save and repeat. Easy way of grinding out long evolution paths, like Tyranitar and Dragonite.
