No other competitive game on the planet requires players to spend hundreds of hours playing an irrelevant single player part of the game to qualify for playing, and at the same time everyone who plays it breaks the rules and cheats to bypass that, and the entire community just kinda glosses over it.
It'd be like if Street Fighter 6 only had world tour mode so you had to grind to max level with the best gear to have a shot at EVO. Even World of Warcraft, an RPG game with a pvp scene, has everyone playing preset pre-geared characters in e-sports competitions.
