He could've had Mars or Jupiter, but instead he fixated on destroying the world for being "impure". He seems dangerously autistic, and any advancement Dawn made could push him even further out of his comfort zone towards his final solution of erasing all of reality. Either he has walls up and can't be intimate with women at all, or maybe he understands them fine but they disgust him and he wants them erased along with everything else.
(I argue that he could have his pick of Mars and Jupiter because they seem wholly devoted to him without understanding his vision whatsoever. Their designs and poses strike me as "flirty". Mars is wiggling her butt in official art. They probably wanted his approval, as he is a powerful and commanding man with high status male. I imagine if he asked the average female grunt out on a date they'd say yes as well.)
