We all know that Pokémon games, especially the older ones, have many overlooked details/features that rarely get mentioned. Use this thread to post and discuss them.
In HGSS, when remaking the map of Johto, they must have thought the Lake of Rage was too small when translating it from the Gen 2 engine to Gen 4 engine, so they decided to expand it by flooding over the tree maze present in the original games. However, a neat little detail is that on Wednesdays, after clearing the Rocket HQ, the rain will stop and the water level will decrease, revealing the original map from GSC. They could've just removed the tree maze all together or moved it over to make space for the expanded lake, but they decided to do something more creative with it as a little nod to Gen 2. It's details like these that I appreciate in Pokémon games.
