Ambipom is legitimately one of the worst designs in the entire franchise and Magmortar/Dusknoir/Mismagius all look awful and kill any of the appeal the pre-evos had. At least Eviolite Dusclops and Flutter Mane make the latter two completely redundant.

To be fair I only really meant the Gen 4 evos that are exclusive to Platinum.

So not the 1st five mons in the OP image. Weavile is still cool though.

I'm surprised there isn't more lore/fan theories about that. The implication is that they're based on woolly mammoths, ancient massive dragonflies (Meganeura), and cavemen respectively.
