Watching through Cardcaptor Sakura and got to the episode with the Dash card, I thought for sure this influenced Espeons design but the dates don't allow for it since the earliest sprite for Espeon was from May 1998 and the episode of CCS aired November 1998.

Either way the next time I use a Espeon I'm calling it Peewee.
