The madder anon is about a game the better it is. It’s just science. Therefore, Gen 5 might be the best Gen just because of the daily seethe it inspires. I don’t make the rules, I just do the opposite of what terminally mentally ill contrarians on 4channel do and I always come out on top. I wouldn’t say it’s worse than RBY, GSC, RS, or DP. It added the most new mons out of any generation (still to this day) and tried something different for the franchise.

Imagine if BW had a simultaneous release worldwide and people could encounter 156-3 new Pokémon without having seen most of them beforehand.

While true, the leaks consisted primarily of their appearance and (Japanese) names. There is usually a lot of information unknown at the time of a simultanous release, with major leaks originating from ealry copies not appearing before the month of release, while in the case of BW every single Pokémon was well-known over half a year prior to the localizations
