>>54447924>If EVs don't matter in this scenario they don't matter in any scenarioThat doesn't make any sense, we're comparing the difficulty of two different games' take on a fight, I am merely saying here that EVs are not as big of a deal for the AI as all the other shit is for the player
>OOooooo you see using a 600 BST Pokemon from level 1 isn't the same as curbstomping Cynthia with your free Giratina because uh...MEW IS OUI don't really know how else to say this and I have no idea why you cant understand it. The point of the Mew was for damage calculation comparisons between Garchomp with maxed Attack EVs and with no EVs, Mew tends to get used a lot for damage calcing. I actually forgot Mew was even a gifted mon in BDSP until you and the other anon brought it up. All I wanted to demonstrate was that Garchomp with Attack EVs does not hit that much harder than without.
But ok, I can use something like Torterra instead.
Lvl 66 252 Atk Garchomp Dragon Claw vs. Lvl 60 0 HP / 0+ Def Torterra: 84-100 (41.5 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
Lvl 66 0 Atk Garchomp Dragon Claw vs. Lvl 60 0 HP / 0+ Def Torterra: 70-84 (34.6 - 41.5%) -- 75.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
49/41 = ~1.2
41/34 = ~1.2
The Garchomp in BDSP is about 20% stronger than the one in DPPt, this is not some gigantic difference that makes up for all the tools the player gets.
>I can't allow this "friendship" mechanic in my fights, You naturally gain friendship over the course of the game, it's basically impossible to avoid and you have to go out of your way to bring it down. I would assume we're talking about a casual normal playthrough and not self imposed challenge nonsense when comparing both games.
>If you minmax any game with the optimal PokemonSure, and that's significantly easier in BDSP
