It (and all other happiness evolutions) should have had alternate lines based on leveling up with a minimal happiness stat.
Igglybuff - Ruffinpuff - Pistuff
Cleffa - Clefae - Clefegend
Happiny - Chansey - Angery
etc
Instead they scrapped all meaning other than an archaic evolution mechanic

It gives those bullshit healing powders, herbs, and roots a purpose for existing. Keep letting it die in battle, use those bitter restoratives, and level up when happiness is at -220 or less. The happiness mechanic was scrapped for all but a few evolutions, and a simple sun/moon stone could replace even those.

Wigglytuff deserved Huge Power more than Azumarill. Azumarill references easter eggs, which have nothing to do with our Moon. Meanwhile, both Wigglytuff AND Jigglypuff have lunar themes.
