>>54458406>Groudon and Kyogre have to be controlled with the orbs to do that. And Dialga and Palkia can do their thing whenever they want.
>Ho-oh and Lugia are said to be able to do those things, but there's not a reason for them to in the story. And there's no logical reason that Dialga/Palkia would want to distort time/space beyond their rampage in PLA or Cyrus' machinations in DPPt
>Mewtwo beating everything's ass is actually in-game. It is literally the strongest Gen1 pokemon by a huge margin. So is Roar of Time/Spacial Rend by that logic.
Their powers are far too powerful to be realistically used in a plot centric way. Disturbing Space could do anything from fun zero gravity to straight up undoing reality. Messing with time could result in anything from funny haha slow-mo to everything regresses into babies and is unborn. Pretty sure if you're a Deity whose job it is to govern specific facets of existence that kinda sorta hinge on being stable at all times you're not gonna fuck with that shit all willy-nilly. What you're looking for is a concept that's far too big to be explored in a turn based RPG on the DS which thankfully is what he have the supplementary material for. For as much as people love to shit on it, and rightfully so in most cases, shit like this is what the anime was for. To showcase aspects of the Legendaries we don't get to see in-game, Sure enough, you get a heartless Mewtwo (though he learns to be less cruel), Dialga and Palkia's powers on full display including their potential destructive natures if not properly balanced, Rayquaza balancing the powers it's unruly children.
You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde also fail to make use of their lore abilities on-screen and need we comb through the Pokedex to find all the listed feats never shown in-game? Just saying but considering Magcargo is hotter than the surface of the sun, there sure is a whole lot of non-scorched earth in the Pokemon World.
