Last I checked, every single new pokemon is found in johto except Houndour, Slugma, Sneasel and Larvitar, the LATTER TWO ACTUALLY ARE IN JOHTO but just super late game after finishing Kanto. Skarmory, Gligar, swinub, Delibird, Phanphy and Teddiuursa are late game pokemon with the latter two being available super fucking early in crystal. Sneasel gets added to Ice path in Crystal as well as a lategame johto option.
Every single new evolution is available before Kanto as well with the exception of Scizor and Steelix which id available as you start kanto so you still have half the game with them.
So why exactly do people argue this aspect of this game in bad faith?
I get that there are probably people that like Larvitar, Houndour and Slugma, but is this really a sound reason to pretend you don’t get access to most of the new mons throughout the first half of the game because you’re a pseudolegendary faggot who wants to use a Tyranitar?
