Why can't I use it online anymore?

My Ursaluna that I evolved from a Ursaring I caught back in Emerald suddenly is being flagged and won't let me use it in raids or online battles anymore.
And when I took to Google I found that I was not alone in this problem.
What is going on?

Maybe Ursaluna got flagged by accident or oversight because of Bloodmoon Ursaluna?

Probably the latter. A similar thing happened when ORAS came out, where Hoopa was suddenly legal to use online regardless of how blatantly hacked it was, despite the fact that the legitimate Hoopa would not be distributed for another 9 months.

Also forgot to mention that the Hoopa trade/battle legality check technically was lifted before ORAS was even released- it was done so in XY around the same time that HA Skrelp was legalized.

I'd some testing, it seems to be flagging any Ursaluna that are not in a Strange Ball from PLA.
