The guy that wrote this stuff tried to contact aliens on live TV. It is WILD. A bunch of people believe it though because it tells them stuff they want to feel. Same reason as the FFWPU. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of overlap in believers, kind of like archeology conspiracists and flat earthers.
