Shell Smash doesn't even make sense for anything with a shell that isn't removable

It makes sense for Crustle, Minor, and Polteageist, and that's it.

Turtles (Pokemon whose shells are physically attached to their bodies) shouldn't learn it

Turtles got it Shell Smash becuase Blastiose from KANTOOOOOOO got it, but became Game Freak doesn't put Blastiose on a false pedastel like CHARIZARD is, the other turtles mons were allowed to get it. Also Torterra has Sinnoh Privelge so it gets to be broken.

It has Shell in the name, giving it to those Pokemon is sort of a pun, like Huge Power for Rabbit mons, don't overthink it. Also think on cartoon turtles taking off their shell like clothes anywhere from Disney to Super Mario, Pokemon has many inconsistencies and bad decissions but this is not one of them

Well shell crack doesnt sound nearly as cool so they went with shell smash, also it literally doesnt smash the shell you idiot, its more like cracking it to reduce air drag and weight thus faster movement and attack.

No because Gen 5/6 struck gold with HAs, megas, and straight BST tweaks and then they decided power creep with no effort is better.
