Pokemon needs a universe reset. Like Mortal Kombat, or the DCEU.
Start from scratch. New anime. New starting set of 150. None of the baggage of previous games. A clean slate to make the series actually good.
Tell me I'm not right.

devs need to spend time implementing gen 1-4 pokemon in a gen 5 game but never appear in the main game which reallocates resources into otherwise pointless things. hurts every other aspect of the game as a result. in summary, go kill yourself retard
