Lusamine isn't even really a villain, more like a broken woman. Gen 7 showing Lillie running away from the evil people there at the intro is I guess enough to let it be a twist? Idk her writing sucks in general
Cyrus was always straight about his villainous persona. There was no hint to give.
Kieran is a genuinely interesting twist to the usual of the character mellowing out. He had the time to grow and develop and now we know he's gonna be the blueberry champ as a result. Neat.
SV professor is probably the best twist since from the start they're fairly normal but the game clues you in over time there's something wrong with them before Area Zero ever happens. From a classical writing perspective this is the character with a genuinely satisfying twist arc alongside Kieran.
