tink literally cannot win a 1v1 against a corviknight without a chinkset and if corviknight runs a chinkset it becomes impossible again to win without insane encore luck

Chinese set.
The Chinese metagame evolved very differently, and a lot of mons run sets designed to do a very specific thing.
Like running just enough speed EV's to barely outspeed a certain threat, or running a weird move just to KO a certain threat.
A Tinkaton designed specifically to beat Corviknight 1v1 would require a Chinese set.

2 of the 3 types that resist normal are effed up by its second STAB and the other is negated by Mind's Eye, making its coverage near perfect save for specific [rock/steel]-[flying/levitate] combos. By contrast the hammer is resisted by 4 types, 2 of which also resist fairy, and at best you could hit 3 of those types with a ground tera blast while sacrificing your hammer STAB, but you're more likely gonna have to switch out.
