>>54527709I'm just pointing out that its an entirely different world from our own anon, I'm not promoting the poorly-thought out ideas put forth by the writers/developers.
A more accurate case would have been to put forth this question in something like the Digimon franchise, but they've already sort of handled that question canonically, unlike pokemon lmfao.
Pokemon are magical monsters too, regardless of what canon you follow. Not animals. Not humans. Not to mention that many are just as, or even more intelligent than humans (and, you know, ones like Arceus/Dialga/Palkia outright responsible for the creation of the pokemon universe or what have you, and other pokemon VERY heavily implied to be responsible for humans being a thing at all?)
I just find it funny how so much of /vp/ seethes so hard and takes what is an incredibly obvious bait thread so seriously time and time and time again, every single time projecting their real-world views of how the real-world and how things should be here onto an entirely fictional setting, and getting assmad when they don't line up perfectly.
Like, seriously. If people get so mad that pokemon has the odd occasional lewd joke about magical monsters that can (and reminder, absolutely have) utterly overpowered and killed humans at a whim, just go make your own setting and fandom at that point. Plenty of people have made monster collector games, some have even been moderately successful.
