An Akashic Record, records the past and future but is essentially a constant throughout time. If you access it the ancient past you’d be able to see the present, the future, or go back even farther, and vice versa for the future.
But that data is only accessible by Occultists. Oh hey, there’s an occult magazine that reports strange Pokémon recorded in an old journal, but with jazzed up backstories that are not true.
The game also tells us it is time travel, but states it can’t also be, as the Time Machine only existed recently and brought Pokémon to the present, before we shut it down, because it was running the same program after its operator was killed and kept running via AI.
Now we have a Crystal Pool with the ability to see dead loved ones, yet the possibility this is simply a hologram, or perhaps a direct connection with the past via Akashic Record means, is not brought up by anyone but me…
I still believe Terapagos is a Demiurge-like Pokémon, and it can only copy other Pokémon’s abilities, so creating Paradox Pokémon makes sense if it’s attempting to copy Arceus. Why Tera Jewels though? Perhaps it’s attempting to copy Dokutaro and it’s power to fulfill the desires of the Pokémon it empowers…
