Because dark dex entries are kino, like the rest of gen 7 which started it

Dex entries are the only good thing left in pokemon, gives the world a little flavour in an otherwise completely fucking barebones experience in terms of atmosphere and narrative.

Pretty much every dex entry is just slightly reworded from the original games where that mon first showed up. It's just that newer games actually force you to see them.
