What sort of leap in logic is this you fucking schizo. Yes, it was the teenage protagonists not everything else in the game like the circle map or the designs or anything else. Every kid wants to be an adult and plenty of kids play games with older protagonists.

The opening 30 or so minutes of Colosseum are fantastic. Pure JRPG kino. It's paced well from its intro, to the saloon, to Rui's rescue, and up to picking which Johto starter you snag. Not only is it exciting; it raises a bunch of questions:

>How does this girl have magic powers? What else can she do?
>Shadow Pokemon are so cool. What's their limit?
And then it drops all of that.

>Shadowness is just a hurdle to purification
The absolute nail in the coffin is the pacing. Every battle lasts so long, and there's nothing that sets them apart from one another. No context, no scenario design. Absolute disappointment. The music is top notch throughout, at least.

What confuses me the most about SV is the age of the protagonist. Why are they so young? First of all, they keep pointing out how the school has no age limit, so it's not because of that. And secondly, the main supporting cast seems to be a few years older than the MC. Hell, Arven might already be an adult. Nemona is taller than some adult NPCs so she's like 16 probably. Why are these mid- to late teenagers hanging out with a preteen? It just looks weird.
