Another time this kid in class was playing "Pokemon cards" and this means he just put down machamp said "My card is stronger I win" and take the other kids card.

There should be minimal buttons with options to add more depending on what you need.

Back in R/S, my friend (who was kind of a dick) and I did the DeepSeaTooth/Scale trades to see what each one got you. He got Huntail, I got Gorebyss. He laughed at me saying I got a girly Pokémon. I read the Pokédex description and learned about Gorebyss sucking the organs out of its prey and thought “nah Gorebyss is way cooler.”

I still have that Gorebyss too, somewhere. Used it as a Surfbro in postgame DPPt, it’s become one of my top favorite Pokémon

In my younger days guide books/strategy guides were starting to fade away so i never got into it properly but i got Crystal's Nintendo Power guide in PDF and love it, slightly cheesy yet so fun to look all the info tables and details over everything in the game

When I played Pokemon Ranger as a kid I gaslighted myself into believing that there was a Jirachi in the game
I think it was because after you beat Charizard there's a optional room afterwards where it kind of resembled the Jirachi crystal from the Jirachi movie I don't know

Remembered recently how much I loved playing Pokemon Diamond when it came out. Really nostalgic, used to play Underground with my brother and a close family friend in our garage for hours. We were all super disappointed after Black/White came out because of the really really bad Unova Pokedex, getting back into it through the recent gens though. Galar is probably my favorite at this point

NTA but you'd have to be insane to think Galar is good in any way. Unless you're just strictly talking about new mons, in which case yeah I'd say Unova is the worst only because of all the padding/garbage. There's a reason Emolga, Zebstrika, Bouffalant, the Lillipup evo (can't even remember its name lol) and other shit haven't come back yet.

You also have Heatmor (grew on me), Durant, Bisharp, Volcarona, Reuniclus, and maybe a few more I can't think of atm that are cool. But then you have fucking Patrat, Maractus, Garbodor, Swoobat, Sawk, Throh, the faggot monkeys (that take up SIX ENTRIES), the infamous ice cream cone... 50% of the dex sucks ass and 25% is just meh and forgettable. Like I forgot Druddigon existed until I looked it up just now

i think my hayday as far as playing pokemon was during when pokemon battle revolution for the nintendo wii had a bustling random matchup community
i wasnt very good (it was 2007) and it was frustrating to go up against players with legendaries (i was of the age where i thought using legendaries was lame) but there were a few moments that stood out to me, like feeling awesome for managing to take out a blissey with shedinja - nothing particularly impressive mind you, even back in the day, but all i knew at the time was that blissey was very popular to use and shedinja wasnt, so it felt like sticking it to the man
i hope the newer games can provide that kind of feeling to a fresher demographic

Started a playthrough of VC Crystal on Friday. Aiming to complete the Pokedex, I have 151 Pokemon on Yellow and a finished Gold save file on another 3DS with the version exclusives on it. 6 badges and 100+ Pokemon caught so far. Life is good.
