The Gym Leaders probably are the most forgettable set in the series
The Elite Four are good though. The Water and Steel guys are whatever but Drasna is a good design and Malva being involved with Team Flare is probably the most interesting thing in XY's story. Diantha may not have much personality or involvement in the story compared to other champions but she still leaves an impression, I would rate her more highly than Wallace or Geeta.
Team Flare is pretty fucking lame and I won't defend them beyond saying Team Yell was even worse.
