Nemona and the protag are both in 1-A despite Nemona clearly being older, Penny is in 1-D and Arven (also clearly older than MC, possibly same age as Nemona or slightly older) is in 2-G so only one grade above the other two. Keep in mind that there's literal toddlers going to school too so 1 can't even be the lowest.
I don't think they thought about this stuff at all.
