XY gets a lot of shit for the 3D, but it's overblown how bad it is. My issues have always been with some of the idle animations being awkward for flying Pokemon because of Sky Battles.
Yes, you can make it look good while they're flying, Stadium did that, but it really would've helped if some of them got non-flying idles for normal battles.
